These just might happen, Biometric Security, Space Tourism, The Holodeck, Self-Aware Computers, Domestic Robots. I agree with all of these except, Self-Aware Computers. I believe that the ability to be self-aware, will be more of a challenge than they think.

This is a great idea. Even if it costs around $1000 right now. Scientists at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia have created a knee brace that is a power generating device. Full Story The research group founded a startup called Bionic Power. They say the knee brace generates 7 watts of power, enough to operate 14 mobile phones. Crashing LCROSS to Find out how much Water Ice is in the Moon's South Pole

Next February 2009, the LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) will release LCROSS (Lunar Crater and Observation Sensing Satellite), which will make two impacts in the moon's South Pole. Goggle's Lunar XPrize now has ten teams competing for a 20 million dollars grand prize to build, launch, and control a rover on the moon. But, they have to do it by Dec. 31, 2012. If no one wins the prize by 2014, the game is over. Full Story , The 10 Teams

Abengoa Solar Power in Arizonia

This new power station named Solana will go online in 2010. Abengoa's 280 MW Solena solar plant will use molten salt to store heat energy. With 280 MW it could power 70,000 homes. Full Story
