Next February 2009, the LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) will release LCROSS (Lunar Crater and Observation Sensing Satellite), which will make two impacts in the moon's South Pole. The first impact will be the Centaur spacecraft. And, after flying though the plume sent up by Centaur, the Shepherding Spacecraft will be the second impact. Full Story
